Till we meet again..

Yesterday's a 'bloggable day'!

I don't know why I was so excited about the movie trip that I got extremely high yesterday! Hmmm, let's see what are the crazy things that Sheila The Great did!

I started a new trend in class once again. I drew a watch on Suzie's wrist. When Huiying saw that, she thought it was cool, so she started drawing on her wrist too! And soon, more and more people had 'watches' on their wrists! Muahaha, all thanks to me! ;) (should any nyco member see this, i bet they will say, "sheila is drawing watches again!" haha! cos i attempted to draw during maf, but only rachel tan gullibly gave me her hand.)

During Chinese lesson, I migrated to Suzie's seat while she migrated to mine. (hehh, paiseh suzie!) Shared SECRETS with Heeai. (: Then I got even 'higher"! HAHA! Shared all the way until end of recess. We even chased Guoshu away when she wanted to sit with us during recess. HAHA! (paiseh Guoshu!) When we told her that we were sharing SECRETS and couldn't disclose it to her, she got so curious about it and kept asking what it was as she walked away. :P

While waiting for Mr Lim's arrival, we were comparing 'watches'! HAHA! Almost all the niners had a 'watch'! According to Jieyi, Ms Yeo said the watch on Guoshu's wrist (drawn by Suzie) was ugly while the one on Suzie's wrist (drawn by ME) was nicer! I was quite shocked cos I admit that mine's really old-fashioned and ugly! The funniest part was Ms Yeo couldn't stop laughing about the watch on Suzie's wrist (cos Suzie's watch was the first watch which Ms Yeo saw). When Jieyi knew that I was the one who drew the 'nicest' watch as claimed by Ms Yeo, she wanted me to draw her one. So I asked her to get a coloured pen for me to draw. Meanwhile, Guoshu came with a black aura around her. She said she wanted to draw a watch for me. I doubted her and thought she wanted to take revenge cos Heeai and I chased her away during recess. Fortunately, Guoshu's a nice person! HAHA! She gave me a nice watch! (:

When Guoshu was about to start drawing...

Annabelle: DONT LET GUOSHU DRAW OR YOUR WRIST WILL LOOK LIKE MINE! *flashes her wrist to me in regret*
Guoshu: Won't lah! I assure it'll be nice! *starts adding dots*
Sheila: Why does my watch have chicken pox!?
Guoshu: Those are not chicken pox lah! Those are diamonds!
Sheila: WHOA~ Diamonds leh...
Guoshu: Ok done!
Annabelle: EEEE! Why did you draw such a nice watch for Sheila but drew such an ugly one for me!?

HAHA! Here's my watch, drawn by Artist Guo! AEP one okay, don't play play!

Mr Lim finally arrived and started lesson as usual. In the middle of the lesson, he spotted the 'watches' and asked who's the one who started this childish thing. HAHA! "Sheila!", said the rest of the niners while I admitted to it. Cant rmb what happened after that which made Heeai can't stop laughing. When Mr Lim asked if we've any qsns for him pertaining to 'Industy', Heeai raised her hand and called, "Sheila!" LOOOOOOOL! She wanted to call 'Mr Lim', but she called him 'Sheila' instead! HAHAHAHAH!

And yay! The school bell finally rang! Chionged back to class to get ready for the movie trip! But I had to settle the CCA CIP stuff, so it was delayed. In the end, Rachel Tan couldn't resist the temptation, so she decided to join Yuka and me. Left school at around 3.30 when the movie's starting at 4.05! We chionged all the way to Cineleisure. Im sure Yuka and Rachel would agree that I'm very good at chionging. HAHA! You guys too, since you guys said u're used to chionging for concerts! Well, here's an interesting conversation on the train.

Sheila: Who did you go with? (cant rmb go where)
Yuka: ..... (cant rmb who she said).. Jeslyn and Rachel
Sheila: Which Rachel?
Yuka: Rachel Lim.
Sheila: Which Rachel Lim?
Yuka: Rachel Lim Kay Yee.
Sheila: Oh I see.

HAHA! This is what happens when there're 4 Rachels in NYCO and two of them are Rachel Lims. HAHA! We thought it was rather funny, so we replayed the conversation again. HAHA!

HANA YORI DANGO! HAHA! I think I can understand why Lejing said Oguri Shun rocked in the movie! LOL! Shant reveal the contents of the movie, cos it's highly recommended! :D Anyway, I think watching movie with Yuka is super funny cos she makes hilarious comments! I know Rachel will agree with this!

Scene 1
I placed my erhu case against the seat in front of me cos there was nobody sitting on the row before us.

Yuka: *laughs*
Sheila: What's so funny?
Yuka: I saw your erhu case when I was looking in front, and I wondered how come the person sitting in front of you has a square head.
Sheila: *LAUGHS*

Scene 2
Domyouji just got out of the water, but Tsukushi still went forward to hug him.

Rachel&Yuka: Dont hug him! He's wet!!!
Sheila: Haha, love is blind...
Yuka: Love is blind?!?! Love is dry. o.o
Rachel&Sheila: ?!?!? *burst into laughter*

Scene 3
When Domyouji was acting cool...

Sheila: Eee, he's acting cool.
Yuka: Oh, so you dislike guys who act cool.

Then Domyouji said 'i love you' to Tsukushi.

Sheila: Awww, SO SWEET!
Yuka: Oh, so you like guys who say 'I love you' to you.

Conclusion
Yuka: So you like guys who don't act cool before saying 'I love you' to you.
Sheila: o.o

Scene 4
The movie ended and we were preparing to leave the cinema...

Yuka: *digs for Rachel's file*
Rachel: The file is behind you, Yuka!
Yuka: *continues digging*
Sheila: Yuka! The file is behind you!
Yuka: *daos us again*
Yuka: *turns back and sees the file* Oh! It has been behind me all the while!
Rachel&Sheila: S.S

We chionged to the cinema before the movie. After the movie, we chionged again to the washroom, cos Yuka needed it urgently. Yuka led the way. When we reached the female's toilet, Yuka thought it was the male's. So she walked deeper in and when she was about to step into the 'female toilet', a guy came out of the toilet! HAHA! So that was the REAL MALE TOILET! LOL!

I hereby conclude that Yuka is a very funny person with funny comments! HAHA! Rachel! We shall watch movie with Yuka again! HAHA! Oh! To Chewfei, from Rachel and Sheila: We exercised as we ran all the way to cineleisure! We sweated! Be jealous! :D

Quite blur, cos the train had arrived and we took this in a rush!

Thursday, September 18, 2008

I wonder why im feeling more and more sleepy each day. I don't sleep very little either. The worst part is, I waste my time when I sleep. Argh. Despite sleeping for 30min in school today, I slept for another 3h at home today. What a pig I am!

Time really flies. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT EOYS STARTS NEXT WEEK?! Frankly speaking, I'm HORRIBLY, TERRIBLY, EXTREMELY SCARED. :S I've lost my optimism after Mr Tan's speech ytd. Sigh. The only way to make myself move on is to stop thinking of it and mug like nobody's business. I cant imagine how it'll be like if I really cant make it to JC. ):

明天会更好!I hope so. Should be going on a date with Yuka tmr to catch Hana Yori Dango! (LIKE FINALLY!) Relieve stress... HAHA!

Anyway, I think Im missing NYCO, cos last night I dreamt that I was performing with NYCO again! :D

Well, I shall end off with a quote from Rozie's teacher, "You can be a very good performer technically, you follow, scores strictly, you play music in time, yet you come to class late,, being disruptive, wasting your time, showing a different attitude in things other than music, you are just a hypocrite and not being true to yourself. YOU ARE NOT A MUSICIAN."

No hidden intentions. Just find it a rather meaningful statement. (:

YO BABY~! HAHA! Feeling rather hip-hop nowadays. Well, supposed to meet nette at the library but she couldnt find a seat, so she choped seats at Starbucks. As I went up the escalator, I saw Ms Tan with Mr Pedrol (spelt like that right?), on the escalator going downwawrds. Called her and she asked if I live around this area. Haha! Kinda coincident cos I actually intended to mug Chem and I saw my Chem teacher. lol.

Had lunch at foodcourt then we headed to arcade. We actually wanted to just walk around in it, but we ended up hooked onto 'Spot the Difference'. The machine is so tall lah! So tall that the screen kept reflecting light at different angles and I had to tiptoe to get a clearer view. -.-

Then we decided to go to her place to mug since most of the libraries are full and unconducive. Her room made me feel nostalgic cos we used to do projects or do work in her room, with the radio tuned to 933. Then we recalled the birthday surprise that she planned for me in P5 and P6. Then she suddenly felt like eating pizza. So she bugged her mother to treat us to pizzahut. HAHA!

Since we felt so nostalgic, I asked nette to bring out photo albums of our primary school days.

Layting (left) and me (right)

Ok, I think Layting looks chubbier in this photo. Jeanette and I were shocked when we saw her other photos cos it's like the 'present Layting' appearing in our primary school photos! Layting never change AT ALL! Scary! Look at my face shape! HAHA! I think I look quite different in this photo cos my face was sharper! Oh my adorable frindge... Oh btw, this was taken in P4!

Now let's go deeper into the past...

Jeanette (left) and me (right) swimming

This was taken when we were in P2! Tried to take a photo of it but it's very blur. Nvm, this is the best I could take, so just look at the faint outlines bah! I totally exclaimed when I first saw this photo. Cos that was our first outing! I look SO TINY in the photo lah! HAHA! KAWAII NEH~!

After all the reminiscence, I began to feel sleepy, so I slept. Who knows I actually slept for 1h+ when I intended to sleep for 15min or so. Yup, continued with work and had pizza for dinner! Nette ordered triple chicken pizza + chicken wings + starbites + garlic bread! hohoho! HEAVENLY!

When we went out to dispose the rubbish, we decided to take a stroll downstairs since we're very bloated. We saw people carrying lanterns downstairs, so it sparked nette that we could go and carry lanterns too! HAHA! Our strolling idea got even crazier then. In the end, we went to 768 to buy candles, lanterns and SPARKLES!

We wanted to get those disposable chopsticks for the sticks of the lanterns, from the foodcourt. But the vendors said they couldnt give it to us as those were bought by their bosses or smth. Of course we did not give up that easily. We walked on till we reached the drinks stall. The vendors weren't looking, so Nette stole took two pairs of chopsticks sneakily. hohoho!

Initially, we wanted to form the words 'FRENS 4 EVA' with the candles. Due to shortage of supply, we modified it into a heart shape.

Realising that there were still quite a lot of candles left, I added two more letters.

N heart L (Nette Loves La!)

Tsk to nette, cos she took quite some time to realise what I was forming.

MISSION ACCOMPLISH!

Then we went on to play the sparkles! Attempted to form 'J' and 'S' (our initials) with the sparkles. Once we lit up the first stick, we had to quickly light up the rest or it'll die off very quickly. Quite challenging to light all up within a short time. Look, 'S' is more successful than 'J'! HEE!

'J' and 'S'

After the semi-successful attempt, we played with the rest of the sparkles. I think we look like happy kids! HAHA! 长不大的小孩!

me with sparkles

Nette with sparkles

Last but not least, we played lanterns!

Nette (left), me (right) and lanterns!

Being responsible residents, we cleared the place before we left! (: There was still a lighted candle on the floor, so I sang a birthday song for myself and blabbered all my wishes in a breath. Jeanette joined in as well. HAHA! And *PUFF*! We blew the candle together after making our wishes! :D

When we returned home, I forced Nette to take a photo of our sticks, just to show off my ingenious idea of enlongating the stick! HAHA!

length of sticks

After we took the photo, we saw smoke coming out from her lantern. Unfortunately, HER LANTERN GOT BURNT! HAHAHHA!

Nette's burnt lantern

Apparently today's been an unproductive day. At least we both enjoyed ourselves a lot! We celebrated Lantern Day together, despite our age! HAHA! OH! But we werent the oldest! There were older teenagers who played with lanterns and candles too! To end off, i wish everyone a HAPPY LANTERN DAY! :D

Okay, now that we've had so much fun, it's time we return to serious work! Mug hard Nette! All the best for you prelims! PS: I wonder how it'd be like when we look at these photos after 8 yrs, just like our swimming photo! :D

As quoted from Annabelle, "Sheila will still survive even if she's locked into an empty room." Indeed, I agree with her statement (somehow this sounds SRQ-ish). I never fail to come up with weird ideas or lame activities.

A Mei's "人质" has gradually became our next class song. Instead of singing it in the normal way, Jieyi and I attempted to sing the chorus word by word alternately. This is definitely a challenge to our chemistry.

Initially, it sounded very weird cos it was very choppy. With some practice, the chorus began to sound slightly more coherent. In one of the lines, the rhythm is slightly faster. That's the toughest part of the chorus. Jieyi and I just could not get over that part. And Jieyi's very funny cos she would get so nervous that she either skip words or sing one word faster than the vocalist (so it's like syncopated notes? haha! cool, jieyi's good at hou4 ban4 pai1!).

After that, Heeai and Yinkuan (the neighbours) decided to test their chemistry too. So we had a competition against one another.

Sheila&Jieyi VS Heeai&Yinkuan

HAHA! We'll train in the meantime to prepare for the next round of competition. MUAHAHA!

Today is a MUST BLOG day because it's been an eventful day.

This morning when i alighted the car, I saw Rachel Lim across the road, walking into the school. Was pretty eager to say hi to her, (since i mistook someone else for her last fri), so I walked rather fast when crossing the road. Of course, I crossed only after the traffic guard told me to cross. Unfortunately, a car that was speeding did not stop before the pedestrain crossing! Feeling a little sleepy after the car ride, I was actually crossing the road sub-consciously. Halfway through, I don't know what stopped me. I just halted all of a sudden and the car zoomed right before my eyes. What a close shave! Imagine the consequences if I had not stopped in time. When I turned back, both Layting and Szemin were in shock. lol!

The best joke of the day was during Geography lesson. As we all know, Eening is a shooter. In some point of the lesson, Mr Lim called upon Eening to answer a question. Then he called Eening the markswoman. For a moment, Joanne (who was sitting next to Eening) and Eening were shocked. Puzzled, Mr Lim questioned about their shock. At first, they didnt explain, but Mr Lim just said randomly, "Haha! Don't tell me Eening's boyfriend is called Mark!" And indeed, he was right! HAHAHA! Only till he said that then I realised the coincidence. It was super hilarious! haha!

After school was CIP at AWWA, an organization for autistic children. It was really challenging because it's very hard to communicate with autistic children. Frankly speaking, I was quite scared at the beginning, cos I was afraid that I wouldn't know how to deal with autistic kids. In fact, I'm alrdy shy when I face normal kids in reality.

In our first activity, whereby the kids were supposed to mix and match the different body parts and clothes that were cut out by some of us, I was attached to this little boy. He couldn't speak. So I took some choices of the same part for him to choose. Even choosing was challenging, cos you gotta lift it up for him to choose; he won't choose if you just lay the pieces on the table. Worse still, he didnt even pay attention to me. When I talked to him, he kept looking away. I felt was at lost and didn't know what I could do. Luckily a lady (a volunteer i suppose) was there to help me. After some time, he got attracted to the scotch tape on the table and kept playing with it. He became more and more restless too. He began to scream and each time, the scream got louder. Seriously, I was quite scared cos I didn't know what I could do to control him. Worse still, he can't speak, so I wouldn't know if he's feeling uncomfortable or what. Eventually, it got so bad that he screamed non-stop. Fortunately a guy came forward and spoke to him, then he finally kept quiet. Yingci was like, "whoa! he's really good man!" haha!

Next was my group's item. We came to realise that our lines may be too cheem for them to understand, so we quickly simplified the lauguage of our script. Our skit was quite successful (and I also succeeded in making a retarded ending), but we weren't exactly good at capturing their attentions. Well, as you know, it's hard to get the attention of autistic kids.

So we moved on to our song item. We gave out small percussion instruments for the kids to play along and they were really high about it! HAHA! Rosalind played 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' on the piano as the rest of us led and shook the insturments. Only then we managed to capture more of their attention. The next song was 'London Bridge Is Falling Down'. Rosalind and I created a bridge and let the kids run through. I was glad to see that the kids enjoyed themselves more in this activity.

Lastly was the Art and Craft activity. They kids were given potato, carrot and sponges of different shapes and sizes. They were to dip those into paint and press them on their paper. This little boy whom I helped was REALLY HIONG! HAHA! Initially he was still following our instructions. Then he began mixing the paint colours. At last, he got so hiong that he dipped his hands into the paint and did hand prints! HAHA! What impressed me a lot wasnt his creativity nor artistic talent. It was the love and patience his mother had for him. His mother was actually standing beside him. When he first dipped his hands into the paint, I quickly stopped him cos I was afraid that he may dirty himself or he may touch other places unknowingly. But his mother told me not to stop him cos she wanna see what he could do. When he got really dirty and messy, not only didn't his mother scold him, she even continued encouraging him and stayed with him. I was quite touched. From there, I've seen the nobleness of parental love. Given a disabled child, she has not given up in him at all. Instead, she was still full of patience and determination in guiding him through, cos of the love she had for him. I guess what we, the volunteers, need is to give these people more love. It is through love that we get the patience and care.

Though I'd say I've not done well in this CIP, I hope I can do a better job the next time. (Oh, the next time would be the actual thing!) Besides learning from today's experience, I also got to know my groupmates better! For instance, I didn't know Peisan is such a crazy person! HAHA! Rosalind's as resourceful as Lixian! Of course there's also Zhenping, Lydia and Xiaoao! I really had a good time preparing for this CIP with you guys! You guys are really nice and humorous and CRAZY! HAHA! Hope we'll get CRAZIER in our Calcutta trip! (:

as i was surfing the all the NYCO (including sectional) blogs, i had an urge to blog on the bonding of NYCO, though it's kinda random.

just wanna say that im proud to be from NANYANG CHINESE ORCHESTA! NYCO is just like a second home to me. in these four years, i've been through thicks and thins with th orchestra. i really like the feeling of working towards a common goal together. although things were tough at times, we've overcome them!

i could still rmb that our bonding was quite bad in the past. we were all different cliques of people. but im very happy that our bonding is improving! im really happy to see people initiating outings or gatherings to bond people together; im really happy to see sections having sectional lunch, sectional outings or morning circles; im even happier to see people of different sections coming together. these may seem to be little things, but they're things that bring us all together. furthermore, all these will make up the wonderful memories of our days in NYCO.

last year when it was SYF, i was doubtful that our music would contain the element of 'togetherness'. i even admired cchmsco's spirit of togetherness. in this year, i've seen NYCO growing. now, i've greater faith that we can achieve 'music of togetherness'. JIAYOU FOR SYF, NYCO!

i daresay xianyue is one of the least bonded section. yes, it is true that the main reason lies on the size of the section. needless to say, bonding the orchestra is a more challenging task. however, NEVER GIVE UP! even if it's gonna be tedious, even if it'll take ages, start small and develop it. now, i can see that xianyue, NYCO and other sections becoming more bonded. this has shown that nothing is impossible.

hence, i hope NYCO will nvr stop all the sectional activities, strengthen our bonds and SHOW PEOPLE THAT THE LARGEST CCA GROUP CAN ALSO BE THE MOST BONDED CCA! :D HEE! perhaps u guys can make co walk a tradition for cross-countries! HAHA!

ps: im realy proud that we've all become more bonded! i love you, nyco!(:

ARGH! A HUGE PIMPLE JUST GREW ON MY HAIRLINE, NEAR THE MIDDLE OF MY FOREHEAD! IT MAKES SMILING, FROWNING AND YAWNING SO PAINFUL! However, looking on the brighter side, I should be glad that the pimple grew on such a blind spot rather than growing on obvious parts on my face. HAHA! So perhaps I shouldn't complain about it. :P

Shall blog about Tuesday's outing after I've gotten photos from Heeai!

Went to Yiping's house to collect cardboard boxes for next week's AWWA CIP skit. (need it for making props) The box that I was carry was so HUGE that I was completely blocked. So huge that I had to stretch my arms apart to reach for the ends. Layting was so amused by me cos I kept changing sides either becos my arms were aching or I couldn't see the way. HAHA! Now, i think I can feel muscles growing on my arms! hoho!

guess who's behind the big box!?

TADA! IT'S ME!

Went to HCI for MAF after that. When we first reached, we saw Mrs Ee sitting at the benches. We approached her and had a rather long chat. Chatted about many random things. Hehh, I think it was nice chatting with her! Chatted all the way till we saw Yiping walking past, panting very badly. Only then we ended our chat to see if we could help out in anyway.

After that, we had lunch. Cam-whored with Qianwen and Layting.

Then we went to the new MPH. A while later, Layting had to go. 'Escorted' her to the bus stop and met Wangxiao and her mother on my way back! Back in MPH, I started writing my junior letters. Kudos to me, cos I'm the second person who finished writing all the letters! HOHOHO!

By then, it was mass games. Almost everyone went down for mass games. MPH was left with Yiling, Maureen, Yanqi, Ziyuan, Randy and me. They were playing Bridge when they were supposed to be doing hw. Haha! Then I joined in. It was fun playing Bridge with them cos Yanqi's super funny! HAHA! Stupid Randy kept suan-ing her about how suay she was. Lol!

Finally, it was prize-giving followed by comm item. Couldn't really get what the skit was about. However, the ending was kinda hilarious cos Yiping and Yijing got handcuffed out of the blue! HAA!

Although I didn't join in any game, I feel very lethargic. Shall sleep now and wake up early to chiong hw tmr! AHHH! HALF THE HOLS IS GONE! I HAVENT INTERACTED WITH MY BOYFIREND YET! Must really complete hw and attempt to 'interact with bf' tmr! JIAYOU SHEILA! HAHA! OH! AND GET WELL SOON CHEWFEI! (did i spread my flu virus to you?)
